Which harnesses are supported?

Any harness that supports MCP over stdio, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Meta AI Muse.

Do I need a DreamUI account?

Yes. The user signs in once with device login, and generations run against their account.

Does generation cost anything?

Generation uses credits from the signed-in user’s DreamUI account.

Will it write files to my project?

Only when writeFiles is true. With false, it returns the output without writing to localDir.

My call timed out. Should I retry?

Check the job with uicopilot_commands first. A timeout doesn’t mean the job failed, and retrying can charge twice. See managed sessions.

What is /api/mcp?

A separate, read-only admin endpoint for operator telemetry. It isn’t used for generation. See Spark admin MCP.
